No. Florida is a direct access state, meaning you are not required to see a physician before consulting a physical therapist for an examination and treatment. A prescription for therapy is optional and encouraged by the patient's doctor. This means the patient can either contact their M.D. first and request a prescription to be faxed to us, or they can contact us directly, and we can secure a prescription from the M.D. Please give us a call at (954) 860-3117 for more information.
We are Medicare B provider. Medicare covers 80% of your bill, the remaining one may be covered by your secondary insurance or it will be your responsibility. You need to be 65+ to qualify for Medicare services.
No. Our business operates as a Medicare Part B in-home private practice, similar to therapists employed in outpatient therapy clinics.
Home health physical therapy is billed under Medicare Part A, while in-home outpatient physical therapy is billed under Medicare Part B. There are two benefits for patients:
As an outpatient provider, we are open to seeing patients for a more extended period if medically necessary.
The patients we work with do not have to be homebound, unlike those who need home health services.
Choosing Restoration Physical Therapy in Home ensures personalized, one-on-one care in the comfort of your home. Unlike clinic-based therapy, our service eliminates the need for transportation, providing convenience for seniors. Observing and addressing mobility challenges in the home environment makes our approach more effective, yielding better results and potentially preventing future injuries. Plus, our specialized focus on seniors over 65 sets us apart, offering a unique and tailored experience without additional cost.
Restoration Physical Therapy is available for patients located in South Florida, including North Broward County (Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale) and South Palm Beach County (Boca Raton).
As a mobile clinic, we come to your place. We can visit you in various locations, including your home, assisted living facility, independent living facility, or other community settings.

The number of sessions varies based on individual needs. During the first appointment, we conduct an initial evaluation and discuss your goals. The duration can range from two sessions to around 20 weeks, tailored to your unique requirements. The physical therapy sessions take place twice a week in your home and last 40-60 minutes each.
A: Not only can you, but you should! Consider it akin to following the doctor's orders—exercise instead of taking prescription pills. You'll receive a set of tailored exercises to do between sessions, designed to match your abilities and accelerate your improvement without overwhelming you.
Medicare covers 80% of the therapy cost. The remaining balance will be billed to your secondary insurance. If you don't have one, or if your deductible is not met, you can pay with cash, checks or credit cards at the time of the service.
